Ask students to think about a time when they were under
stress. Ask them to list how they coped with that stress
specifying particular behaviors. Compile a list of situations
students are willing to share that have been stressful.
Distribute Ways of Handling
Stress sheet and ask students to match up a constructive
method of dealing with each stressful incident.
Distribute "Are These Stress
Management Behaviors Part of Your Life?"
Ask students to do a self-inventory of their response to
stress. Divide class into small groups and allow time for
students to discuss their results.
