Planning a Party III |

Blueprint 2000 Lesson Activities, developed by Dr.

Center for the Study of Teaching and Learning.

| Materials: |
Cookbooks, party planner books, telephone books |
| Procedure: |
| The teacher establishes the conditions and limitations
for planning a party. Though students may do all the
planning of the party, the teacher should let students
know how much budget they have and any special restrictions
such as if the party must be on campus. If school policy
forbids certain activities, such as swimming, consumption
of alcoholic beverages, or travel, then students should
be informed of the restrictions before the planning
begins. The class will establish committees for each
important task or area. The committees will develop
their tentative plans and budget costs. Options are
researched. The class approves the tentative plans and
final cost estimates are made with contingencies for
rain or additional people. |
