ACE of Florida, Inc. (ACE)
ACE has the latest news in adult and community education including the
ACE Report Online and the ACE Helpdesk which includes a Toolbox, Hotline,
Reference Desk, and an Ask the Helpdesk feature.
In 1986, leaders in adult and community education in the state of Florida
under the direction of the Bureau of Adult and Community Education created
a service that would enable educators to share information about programs
and processes that were particularly noteworthy or that deserved both
recognition and adoption statewide. This service became known as the Florida
Adult and Community Education Network (ACENET).

The National Center on Adult Literacy
The NCAL server provides users with the information produced by NCAL,
including an electronic version of their newsletter and upcoming literacy
events. The user can also access reviews of literacy software, and link
to the International Literacy Institute, the Literacy Research Center,
and other literacy organizations.
National Center for Family Literacy
NCFL is a non-profit organization supporting family literacy services
through programming, training, research, advocacy and dissemination, a
family forum, a newsletter, information materials, and welfare reform
National Center for the Study of Adult
Learning and Literacy (NCSALL)
The goal of NCSALL is to help the field of adult basic education define
a comprehensive research agenda; to pursue basic and applied research
under that agenda; to build partnerships between researchers and practitioners;
and to disseminate research and best practices to practitioners, scholars,
and policy makers.
National Institute for Literacy LINCS
This site provides information about current events relevant to literacy;
links to the AskERIC virtual library, the NCAL and OTAN Internet servers,
the Library of Congress online catalog, and other literacy-related sites,
as well as literacy discussion forums.
This is the Outreach and Technical Assistance Network: Adult Education's
Electronic Information Gateway. Set up and maintained by and for adult
education professionals in California, OTAN is open to all interested
in Adult Education and has a no charge registration. Registration connects
you to a network where you can post questions for other professionals
and replies to other professionals. In addition, this site offers course
outlines, teacher discussions, lesson plans, material lists, Internet
in the classroom resource providers, classroom activities, Adult ED and
Technology vendors, and research and methodology information.
PBS Literacy Link
Offers LitTeacher seminars entirely online. Does have material specifically
for adult literacy educators.
Southern Literacy and Communications
Searching for educational information on the web is easy through LINCS.
UNESCO's Education Information Service
This site provides data and information on the organization's current
education projects and activities; information on key events in world
education; and access to several publications. In addition, there are
links to other education sites, including UNESCO's various Partners in
Education such as AskEric and the University of Nebraska.
