| Materials: |
Dimensions of a house; estimate from a house painter |
| Procedure: |
- Given the dimensions of a house, students will
calculate the interior and exterior areas to be
painted.
- Given a room, the students will measure height,
length, width, windows, and doors then calculate
the area to be painted.
- Given a house with specific dimensions and an
estimate from a professional painter of what one
painter can paint in one day, students will calculate
how long it would take for three people to paint
the interior and exterior.
- Given a house with specified interior and exterior
dimensions, students will determine the type and
amount of paint and supplies needed and compare
cost between three supply stores.
