- Class lists types of crimes prevalent in society today
and develops a consensus on the top five most serious
crimes. Class brainstorms prevention techniques and alternative
punitive measures that might be useful in controlling
crime.
- Given three case scenarios where a different crime
has been committed, small groups will establish a possible
motive, a prevention technique that could have been used,
and a different consequence than one that is usually given
for that crime. Groups will share with each other and
receive feedback on their thinking.
- Students write an essay on ways to control crime in
their neighborhood.
