| Activities: |

Students read and categorize various letter forms according
to each letter's purpose. Students write one form of
letter using previously read letters as a model.

Students write a letter based upon a problem situation
provided by the teacher. The students identify key words
used to convey their purpose and evaluate the effectiveness
by the written response of another student.
